Summer Institute for Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning 2026

In 2026, Online Learning Services (OLS) and ITS are expanding their tradition of summer professional development for faculty with two events designed to help you incorporate instructional technologies in your teaching.

SITETL 2026 Summer Workshop

June 1–5 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

SITETL continues to draw participants from across Syracuse University, bringing them together for an intensive engagement with a small group of peers to focus on enhancing teaching practices with technology. The week-long workshop is facilitated by OLS Instructional Technology Analysts and includes presentations, group and panel discussions, and hands-on practice. Participants leave the workshop with mastery over many of the software products licensed campus-wide for teaching and learning, and a keen sense of how to best incorporate these tools in their courses.

Selected participants will receive priority assistance from OLS, development spaces in the Blackboard system to work on their Ultra content, and a monetary award for completing all workshop sessions. There are a limited number of seats. Admission is based on a competitive application where the participant describes their teaching and how they intend to benefit from the event.
